The Opportunity Trust

Ben brings his experience working in a wide range of schools and his dream of radically reimagining systems of education to The Opportunity Trust as its Communications Program Manager.

Ben has spent his career in education, teaching and working in charter and traditional district schools primarily serving marginalized populations and disenfranchised students. Ben earned his bachelor’s degree from Tulane University and served in AmeriCorps before helping start two schools in New Orleans as a founding teacher: one serving incarcerated high school students, and another designed to fill the gap in services experienced by expelled middle schoolers. In 2021, Ben was awarded an Education Pioneers Impact Fellowship that saw him support a massive leadership transition at a California charter network.

When the workday is over, you can find Ben writing or solving puzzles, tossing frisbees, or rooting for the world champion Denver Nuggets.
