Apply for the School Board Fellowship

Thank you for your interest in the School Board Fellowship! At The Opportunity Trust, we work hard to understand different perspectives, think hard about big issues in education, and consider how our own experiences and skills can significantly move work forward in our community. We appreciate your intentional reflection and transparent responses. We’re excited to learn more about you!

The application consists of three sections:

1. The Basics – contact information and demographics
2. Your Background – your interests, goals, and previous experiences
3. Application Questions – short essay responses

A few notes before you begin…

• This application must be completed in one sitting. You will not be able to save your progress or return to your application.
• To review the application questions or work on the essay questions offline prior to pasting them into this online form, you can make a copy of the application questions here.
• The Opportunity Trust is intentional about recruiting a class that reflects the diversity of our community. Demographic questions are optional and do not have any bearing on whether or not you are selected for the fellowship.
• We care a lot about the cohort members of our fellowship and understand that we all have different strengths. This application is not intended to be a writing test; please do not stress out if writing is not your biggest strength. We are more focused on your ideas and experiences than how your sentences are constructed!
